We are looking for someone Monday-Friday. Mwf 12-5-5:30 and tues thurs 10-2:30. My schedule does change at times so if there was some flexibility that would be great! Any questions please feel free to ask!

A little bit about us

Hi! We have our second son who is now 6 months old and we currently have a nanny at our home in La Mesa. She's been great, willing to drive the kids for activities and came from our friends who used her for the last year. Both of us work full time but have some flexibility with our schedules. We are looking to find another family with possibly the same age child or close.
I (Tiffany) work mostly in Scripps Ranch so we could join another family in that area or even continue at our home in La Mesa. Our nanny is available to continue full time starting June. Currently she has to leave at 4:30 due to her gymnastic coaching job but that will be over by then and will be able to discuss a longer schedule. However we are also open to look for other options, with the right family of course. Someone who is fun, energetic and loves teach and care for the kids. We prefer to have someone available 7 am to 6 pm in either home and like to make sure there are plenty of outdoor activities for the kids.

My husband and I are looking for let time care for our twin girls, who will be 6 months in April! I return to work in May and we are hoping to have someone help out 15-20 hours per week. We have dogs but you shouldn’t need to worry much about them while you are here. I will be working from home for the majority of your hours so will be available for any emergencies.

How to Find an Infant Care Job in La Mesa, CA

If you’re looking for an infant nanny job, you’ve come to the right place! We can help you find an infant care job in your area. Start by telling families about yourself in your profile, and then chat with families to find the right fit. When you think you’ve found the right match, you can turn the discussion towards compensation and responsibilities.

What is an Infant Nanny in La Mesa, CA

An infant nanny is a nanny that specializes in caring for newborns. They are skilled in diapering and providing care for any rashes, swaddling, bathing, feeding, and burping. Some infant nannies further specialize in care for premature newborns or multiples.

Preparing for a Nanny Interview for an Infant Care Position

Once you start connecting with prospective employers, the next step is an infant nanny job interview. Here is a list of some infant nanny interview questions to prepare for:

  • What is your specific experience with this age group?
  • Are you Infant CPR/First Aid certified in La Mesa, CA? Are you willing to be trained?
  • How do you handle a crying baby?
  • How often do you usually offer parents updates during the day?
  • What do you feed an infant? At 0-3 months? 3-6 months? 6-9 months? 9-12 months?
  • How do you set up the infant’s crib for a nap?
  • What kind of activities will you plan to engage my baby?

You should be prepared with your references for past nanny jobs, and ideally, past infant jobs. Prior to the infant nanny interview, be sure to think about questions that you might have for the family. This is a great time to ask questions about the responsibilities and compensation for the infant nanny position. To make sure everyone has a shared understanding of the role and responsibilities, we recommend asking for a job offer or a nanny contract. By doing this, you can get off on the right foot with your future employer.
