A little bit about us

My wife and I are looking for a nanny for a nanny share that can start no later than February 27th.

We are proud parents of twin girls (age 21 months) and a 4 year old.

We need a nanny for our twin girls.

We currently do a nanny share with another couple that has a daughter that is 19 months old.

Our current nanny watches the twins 5 days a week from 8:00 A.M. to 6:00 P.M- Monday to Thursday. And 8:00 A.M to 5:30 P.M. on Fridays. We do a nanny share 3 of the 5 days with the other couple.

All three girls are on a good sleep schedule in which they all sleep from 12:30 to 3:00 ish. I usually cook meals for the girls at the start of the week but sometimes the nanny may have to cook meals for them. Our current nanny does light cleaning and the girls' laundry.

Most of the times the nanny share happens at our house in Oakland. But sometimes we do the nanny share at the other couple's house in San Leandro.

If interested, please let me know asap.

A little bit about us

We are 2 Montclair families who live a 10 min walk apart seeking a full-time nanny share to be hosted at one home. We both live on Fairlane Drive in the Glen Highlands area of Montclair (just off of highways 13 + 24). Our two little ones will be 5 months and 11 months when we need care in the beginning of October, but can be flexible for the right fit.

We are seeking a high-energy nanny who can stimulate our babies, care for them lovingly, and provide some structure / routine to their days. We'd also like to talk about options for additional help with food prep and/or laundry (for example).

A little bit about us

Hi!

We have a newborn child (boy, 3 weeks old) and would like help with:

Housekeeping - standard cleaning, tidying, organization, dishes, trash take out

Laundry - Once per week, folded and put away

Occasional light meals & grocery runs - this is not required but is a definite plus. The grocery store is right down the street and meals could be made in bulk to last a few days if this service could be provided.

Possible occasional running of errands

Occasional childcare (feeding, diaper changing, etc). We are still working out our new schedule and may want this person to cover some “night nurse/nanny” shifts in the future.

We are still adjusting to becoming new parents! We are open to your recommendations in creating our new schedule as well and look forward to speaking with an experienced nanny housekeeper.

Thanks!

A little bit about us

Hello! I'm looking for a part-time nanny for my six-month-old daughter. I'm a grad student and need childcare from approximately 8am to 5pm on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Fridays, plus an additional weekday (either Wednesday or Thursday works). I'm not interested in a nanny share at this time. I'm looking for a nanny who has at least 5 years of experience, is CPR-certified, is comfortable with pets (we have two cats), has a driver's license, speaks English fluently, and is comfortable adhering to our baby's pretty firm nap schedule (while still finding fun, age-appropriate activities for her during her wake periods). The start date is somewhat flexible, but we'd ideally kick things off in early October. Looking forward to meeting you!

How to Find an Infant Care Job in Oakland, CA

If you’re looking for an infant nanny job, you’ve come to the right place! We can help you find an infant care job in your area. Start by telling families about yourself in your profile, and then chat with families to find the right fit. When you think you’ve found the right match, you can turn the discussion towards compensation and responsibilities.

What is an Infant Nanny in Oakland, CA

An infant nanny is a nanny that specializes in caring for newborns. They are skilled in diapering and providing care for any rashes, swaddling, bathing, feeding, and burping. Some infant nannies further specialize in care for premature newborns or multiples.

Preparing for a Nanny Interview for an Infant Care Position

Once you start connecting with prospective employers, the next step is an infant nanny job interview. Here is a list of some infant nanny interview questions to prepare for:

  • What is your specific experience with this age group?
  • Are you Infant CPR/First Aid certified in Oakland, CA? Are you willing to be trained?
  • How do you handle a crying baby?
  • How often do you usually offer parents updates during the day?
  • What do you feed an infant? At 0-3 months? 3-6 months? 6-9 months? 9-12 months?
  • How do you set up the infant’s crib for a nap?
  • What kind of activities will you plan to engage my baby?

You should be prepared with your references for past nanny jobs, and ideally, past infant jobs. Prior to the infant nanny interview, be sure to think about questions that you might have for the family. This is a great time to ask questions about the responsibilities and compensation for the infant nanny position. To make sure everyone has a shared understanding of the role and responsibilities, we recommend asking for a job offer or a nanny contract. By doing this, you can get off on the right foot with your future employer.
