A little bit about us

We need a nanny for our 3 children in Oxnard Riverpark. And we're looking now to start mid/late august!
Children are energetic and creative. They need someone to match their energy-- someone who will engage with them in creative and imaginative play. Create and build things, take on projects, run around, go to the park around the corner, and generally keep them engaged. Also looking for someone to help around the house, help teach them rules like cleaning, putting dish in the sink, etc. So a combination of playful and also boundary-setting and structured if possible.
Both girls are strong-willed.

A little bit about us

Baby’s name is Emery Sage she is currently 2 months old. She is a very alert baby and for her young age loves to be up and looking at her surroundings. She does cry a bit so must be very patient with her also she does not like being laid on her back for long periods of time. Overall she is very loving, silly, talkative baby girl in which you will grow to love her gummy smile. I work for an insurance Brokers office Monday through Friday 9am through 6pm. So I need a full time nanny. Duties would be feeding baby, change diapers for the most part as she is still very little and entertaining my little one as she is a very alert baby that loves to be moving, likes tummy time, interacting, and loves the outdoors. She loves attention so if you sit her up or stand her up and talk to her she would have the time of her life having a full blown conversation with you. Must be available full time M-F 8:30am-6:30pm please.

How to Find an Infant Care Job in Oxnard, CA

If you’re looking for an infant nanny job, you’ve come to the right place! We can help you find an infant care job in your area. Start by telling families about yourself in your profile, and then chat with families to find the right fit. When you think you’ve found the right match, you can turn the discussion towards compensation and responsibilities.

What is an Infant Nanny in Oxnard, CA

An infant nanny is a nanny that specializes in caring for newborns. They are skilled in diapering and providing care for any rashes, swaddling, bathing, feeding, and burping. Some infant nannies further specialize in care for premature newborns or multiples.

Preparing for a Nanny Interview for an Infant Care Position

Once you start connecting with prospective employers, the next step is an infant nanny job interview. Here is a list of some infant nanny interview questions to prepare for:

  • What is your specific experience with this age group?
  • Are you Infant CPR/First Aid certified in Oxnard, CA? Are you willing to be trained?
  • How do you handle a crying baby?
  • How often do you usually offer parents updates during the day?
  • What do you feed an infant? At 0-3 months? 3-6 months? 6-9 months? 9-12 months?
  • How do you set up the infant’s crib for a nap?
  • What kind of activities will you plan to engage my baby?

You should be prepared with your references for past nanny jobs, and ideally, past infant jobs. Prior to the infant nanny interview, be sure to think about questions that you might have for the family. This is a great time to ask questions about the responsibilities and compensation for the infant nanny position. To make sure everyone has a shared understanding of the role and responsibilities, we recommend asking for a job offer or a nanny contract. By doing this, you can get off on the right foot with your future employer.
