A little bit about us

I’m looking for a FT nanny / mothers helper to join our family 40+ hours a week M-F starting mid to late July. Our daughter is 2 months old and loves going for walks outside, playing on her belly, listening to stories and music, and tickles! We’re looking for someone to care for her while both my husband and I work from home (I return part time to the office in September). It’s important to be interested in helping her reach milestones (rolling over, sitting, introducing solids, etc) in a patient, kind, and loving manner. She’s very playful and curious! If you are currently working (or are a family looking) in the Beachwood Canyon or Hollywood area we could be open to a nanny share.

We’re offering a competitive hourly rate depending on experience and will also provide paid time off for vacation, sick days, and holidays.

Qualifications / Details
- Experience caring for newborns
- We’re located in Beachwood Canyon, below the Hollywood sign
- Babysitting flexibility for Friday nights and occasional weekends are a plus!
- CPR certified
- Drivers license to help run errands is great although not necessary.
- Housekeeping / meal prep also a huge help. We already keep our house very clean and usually eat fairly healthy and simple. The ideal candidate would be willing to help our family fill in the gaps when there is downtime.
- Vaccinated
- Non smoker
- Excellent references

We’re a very easy going, creative, and flexible family. We have a small dog who is very friendly so animal lover is also a must. There are no overnights or travel currently but there is a possibility for that if there is interest!

If this sounds like you please email with your bio and resume. We’re looking to hire mid July but that can be flexible to start earlier or later. Looking forward to hearing from you!

A little bit about us

1 infant girl (4mo old at start)
Monday thru Friday 8:30am -1:30pm (we think this works to start)
Mom works from home, just needs a caring set of hand to watch baby in the mornings thru lunch meetings. Dad works from office mostly. May have days where mom needs to be at an outside meeting and a varied schedule will be needed when dad can’t cover. As with everything, covid has made scheduling outside meetings less certain. When normalcy returns (perhaps in the fall?), a fuller 40hr/wk schedule may be in order as both mom and dad will be out during the day.

How to Find an Infant Care Job in Los Angeles, CA

If you’re looking for an infant nanny job, you’ve come to the right place! We can help you find an infant care job in your area. Start by telling families about yourself in your profile, and then chat with families to find the right fit. When you think you’ve found the right match, you can turn the discussion towards compensation and responsibilities.

What is an Infant Nanny in Los Angeles, CA

An infant nanny is a nanny that specializes in caring for newborns. They are skilled in diapering and providing care for any rashes, swaddling, bathing, feeding, and burping. Some infant nannies further specialize in care for premature newborns or multiples.

Preparing for a Nanny Interview for an Infant Care Position

Once you start connecting with prospective employers, the next step is an infant nanny job interview. Here is a list of some infant nanny interview questions to prepare for:

  • What is your specific experience with this age group?
  • Are you Infant CPR/First Aid certified in Los Angeles, CA? Are you willing to be trained?
  • How do you handle a crying baby?
  • How often do you usually offer parents updates during the day?
  • What do you feed an infant? At 0-3 months? 3-6 months? 6-9 months? 9-12 months?
  • How do you set up the infant’s crib for a nap?
  • What kind of activities will you plan to engage my baby?

You should be prepared with your references for past nanny jobs, and ideally, past infant jobs. Prior to the infant nanny interview, be sure to think about questions that you might have for the family. This is a great time to ask questions about the responsibilities and compensation for the infant nanny position. To make sure everyone has a shared understanding of the role and responsibilities, we recommend asking for a job offer or a nanny contract. By doing this, you can get off on the right foot with your future employer.
