A little bit about us

Hello, my name is Cynthia and I and my husband are new parents as of January 2023. We are looking for some additional help in-home as we resume work after our paternity leave. We are hoping to hire someone by April 3rd as we will be going "back to work" (we both work remotely at home). We are looking to have someone watch the baby on Wednesday, Thursdays, and Fridays from 10am-3pm (approx.) We may need additional days and times as things pop up as well. Additionally, we will need to extend hours and days for additional time, as our workload increases. Most likely extending the hours from 10-3pm, Wed-Fri, to 9-5pm (approx.)
A little about us: I am originally from the SF bay area, I moved to LA in 2010 to complete my education. I have a B.S. in Biology and a Masters in Public Health. I work as a Research analyst for a nonprofit and I am 100% remote. I love outdoor activities, reading, yoga/meditation, and hanging out with friends.
My husband is Roberto Lazarte. He is from Peru and moved to the states in 2005. He has a B.A in cinematography and a Masters in Screenwriting. He works as a video producer and is primarily working form home, except when he goes on shoots. We both enjoy watching movies, outdoor activities, and hanging with family and friends. We also love just hanging out with our 5 dogs at home. We are both passionate and purposeful about life and goals, we love to learn, love new experiences, and love to travel.

How to Find an Infant Care Job in Riverside, CA

If you’re looking for an infant nanny job, you’ve come to the right place! We can help you find an infant care job in your area. Start by telling families about yourself in your profile, and then chat with families to find the right fit. When you think you’ve found the right match, you can turn the discussion towards compensation and responsibilities.

What is an Infant Nanny in Riverside, CA

An infant nanny is a nanny that specializes in caring for newborns. They are skilled in diapering and providing care for any rashes, swaddling, bathing, feeding, and burping. Some infant nannies further specialize in care for premature newborns or multiples.

Preparing for a Nanny Interview for an Infant Care Position

Once you start connecting with prospective employers, the next step is an infant nanny job interview. Here is a list of some infant nanny interview questions to prepare for:

  • What is your specific experience with this age group?
  • Are you Infant CPR/First Aid certified in Riverside, CA? Are you willing to be trained?
  • How do you handle a crying baby?
  • How often do you usually offer parents updates during the day?
  • What do you feed an infant? At 0-3 months? 3-6 months? 6-9 months? 9-12 months?
  • How do you set up the infant’s crib for a nap?
  • What kind of activities will you plan to engage my baby?

You should be prepared with your references for past nanny jobs, and ideally, past infant jobs. Prior to the infant nanny interview, be sure to think about questions that you might have for the family. This is a great time to ask questions about the responsibilities and compensation for the infant nanny position. To make sure everyone has a shared understanding of the role and responsibilities, we recommend asking for a job offer or a nanny contract. By doing this, you can get off on the right foot with your future employer.
