Position Overview
We are seeking a warm, positive, and highly reliable Family Assistant/Nanny to support a father and his sweet, easygoing 5-year-old son. This role requires someone who is proactive, organized, caring, and able to take initiative. The ideal candidate is confident working independently and enjoys creating structure and ease in a busy household.
The father has a demanding work schedule and values someone who can anticipate needs, problem-solve, and help manage daily responsibilities efficiently. Weekend live-in support is preferred to allow flexibility, even though the child sleeps very well.

Responsibilities
Childcare support and driving
Grocery shopping and meal preparation
Laundry, tidying, and organizing (kitchen and child’s room)

For the right candidate, there is potential to expand this role into a full-time position, including additional personal assistant and light property/location management duties. The father has Airbnb units on the property, and additional work may be available on non-custody days.

We can be flexible on hours, but need someone that can cover
the weekday after-school pickups. Some weekend hours can be added if you would like to increase your total time, though this is not required.
Our son is very outgoing, talkative, friendly, and inquisitive. He can struggle with impulsivity and emotional regulation.

If you like to play, be silly, get creative, and connect with kids where you feel like their best friend (almost like a member of the family), we would love to meet you!
The job is 40 hrs per week, Monday - Friday. Would need to be flexible on start and end times: typically 9-5, 10-6 or 11-7pm. Job can typically guarantee an 8 hr day.
Must be okay with snakes, tarantulas, and lizards (our pets ;) The boys also horseback ride regularly so no horse allergies.
Older son is high functioning on the spectrum which requires you to be a mentally healthy, stable presence, who can hold good boundaries and use skilled communication (he’s brilliant and so amazing and needs someone to match his inquisitive mind).
Job also includes meal prep. errands, light housework and potential travel.
Please have your own car (made in the year 2018 or more recent) and car insurance. There is quite a bit of driving throughout Topanga, Calabasas, and Woodland Hills for activities and lessons each week which is very beautiful, scenic and peaceful but only if you like to drive.
Overall, looking for someone who can grow with our family and be a trusted and consistent light in all our lives for many years.
